Persistently fast heart rhythms can cause weakness of the heart muscle and is known as tachycardiomyopathy. Tachycardiomyopathy can manifest as global hypokinesia. It improves gradually once the heart rate is controlled either by antiarrhythmic medications&nbsp; which are used to treat heart rhythm disorders or by a procedure known as radiofrequency catheter ablation.
