മഞ്ഞ വഴുതന കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ടോ?

സാധാരണ ഞാൻ കൃഷി ചെയ്യാറുള്ളത് പർപ്പിൾ വഴുതനയും പച്ച വഴുതനയും ആണ്. അപ്പോൾ ഇത് മഞ്ഞ വഴുതനയാണോ? അല്ലേ അല്ല! പച്ച വഴുതനയുടെ കായകൾ പഴുത്തപ്പോൾ ‘മഞ്ഞ വഴുതന’ ആയതാണ്. പക്ഷെ ഈ വഴുതനങ്ങകൾക്ക് വലിയ വളർച്ചയില്ല. വരണ്ട ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള ചെടിയായതിനാലാവാം. അത് കൊണ്ട് ഇതിൽ വിത്തുകൾ ഉണ്ടാകുമോ എന്നും വിത്തുകൾ നന്നായിരിക്കുമോ എന്നും അറിയില്ല. ഏതായലും പറിക്കാൻ വൈകി പോയത് കൊണ്ട് പഴുത്തതാണ്. പഴുത്ത സ്ഥിതിക്ക് കുറച്ചു ദിവസം കൂടി കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം മുറിച്ച് വിത്തുകൾ ഉണ്ടോ എന്ന് നോക്കാം.

Have you ever seen a yellow brinjal (eggplant)?

I usually grow purple and green brinjals. So is this yellow brinjal? Oh no! Green brinjal pods became ‘yellow brinjals’ when ripe. But these pods did not grow much. Probably because it on a dry land. So I am not sure whether it will have seeds and whether the seeds will be good. It ripened because I forgot to harvest them on time. After a few more days, I shall cut it and see if there are seeds inside.
