മുളക് ചെടികളുടെ രണ്ടാം തലമുറ

വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടായ മുളകുകളിൽ അവസാനത്തേത് പഴുക്കാൻ നിർത്തി വിത്ത് ശേഖരിച്ചു. ആ വിത്തുകൾ നട്ടുണ്ടായ രണ്ടാം തലമുറ മുളക് ചെടികളാണിവ. ചിത്രകീടങ്ങളുടെ അക്രമണമില്ല. എന്നാൽ വേറെ ഏതോ പ്രാണി ഇലയിൽ ദ്വാരം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതായി കാണാം. ഇത്തരം ദ്വാരങ്ങൾ മറ്റു ചെടികളുടെ ഇലകളിലും കാണാറുണ്ട്. ഏത് പ്രാണിയാണെന്ന് പിടി കിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ല. എന്നാലും മുളക് തൈകൾക്ക് വളർച്ചക്കുറവില്ല.

Second generation of chili plants

The last of the chilies grown in the house was left to ripen and the seeds were collected. These are the second generation chili plants from those seeds. No sign of leaf miner attack. But some other insect has made a hole in the leaf. Such holes are also seen in the leaves of other plants. Not sure which insect it is. However, chilli seedlings are not stunted.
