പാവൽ ചെടി ലക്ഷ്യത്തിനടുത്തെത്തി!

ചെടിച്ചട്ടിയിൽ നട്ട പാവൽ (കയ്പ) ചെടി പടർന്ന് അടുത്തുള്ള ഒട്ടുമാവിനടുത്തേക്ക് എത്തി തുടങ്ങി. വരും ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ പാവൽ ചെടി ഒട്ടുമാവിൽ പടർന്നു കയറും എന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും ഈ ഒട്ടുമാവിനെകൊണ്ട് ഒരു ഉപയോഗമുണ്ടാകട്ടെ. ഒരു കൊല്ലത്തിനുള്ളിൽ കായ്ക്കും എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞായിരുന്ന നഴ്സറിയിൽ നിന്ന് തന്ന് വിട്ടത്. കൊല്ലങ്ങൾ പലത് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും ഇത് വരെ ഈ ഒട്ടുമാവ് പൂത്തിട്ടില്ല. വെട്ടി കളഞ്ഞാലോ എന്ന് ആലോചിച്ചപ്പോളാണ് ഈ കയ്പ ചെടി വളർന്നു വന്നത്. എന്നാൽ ഇനി ഒട്ടുമാവിൽ പാവക്ക ‘കായ്ക്കുമോ’ എന്ന് നോക്കാം എന്ന് കരുതി.

Bitter gourd plant is nearing its destination!

The bitter gourd plant planted in the garden pot has started spreading and reaching the nearby grafted mango plant. It is expected that in the coming days it will grow on to the mango plant. At least let this mango plant will be of some use. It was brought from the nursery where it was told that it will bear fruits within a year. Even after many years, this plant has not bloomed till now. It was when I was thinking of cutting it down that this bitter gourd plant started growing in a garden pot near it. Now I thought I’d see if there will be bitter gourd ‘fruits’ on the mango plant!
