വെള്ള കാന്താരി മുളക് വിത്ത് നട്ടു

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം നഴ്സറിയിൽ നിന്ന് പൂച്ചെടികൾ വാങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ കുറെ കുഞ്ഞു ഗ്രോബാഗുകളിൽ വെള്ള കാന്താരി മുളക് കായ്ച്ചു നിൽക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടു. അവയിൽ കുറച്ചെണ്ണം പഴുത്ത് നല്ല ചുവപ്പ് നിറമായിരുന്നു. ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ രണ്ട് മുളകുകൾ ഫ്രീ ആയി തന്നു. എന്റെ വക വാഴപ്പൂ-വാഴയില പോട്ടിങ് മിക്സ് നിറച്ച രണ്ട് ചെടിച്ചട്ടികളിൽ വിത്തുകൾ പാകി. ചെടിച്ചട്ടി തിരിച്ചറിയാനായി മുളകിന്റെ തോട് ചട്ടികളിൽ തന്നെ വെച്ചു. അടിവളമായി സൂപ്പർ മീൽ ചേര്ത്തു കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു. ഇനി കാത്തിരിപ്പാണ് മുളക്കുമോ എന്നറിയാൻ. മുളക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ അടുത്ത തവണ നഴ്സറിയിൽ പോകുമ്പോൾ ഗ്രോ ബാഗിലെ ചെടി തന്നെ വാങ്ങേണ്ടി വരും.

White bird’s eye chilli seeds planted

The other day, when I bought flower plants from the nursery, I saw some white bird’s eye chillies growing in grow bags. A few of them were ripe and red in color. When asked, two chilies were given for free. I planted the seeds in two plant pots filled with my banana flower-banana leaf potting mix. To identify the pots, I kept the pods of the chilies in the pots. Super meal was added as base fertilizer. Now I am waiting to see if it will sprout. If it doesn’t germinate, the next time I go to the nursery, I will have to buy the plant in the grow bag itself.
