വാടാൻ തുടങ്ങിയ പാവൽ ചെടി സംരക്ഷിക്കാം ഒരു ശ്രമം

രാവിലെ കൃഷിസ്ഥലത്ത് വെള്ളം നനക്കാൻ പോയപ്പോൾ കടുത്ത വെയിലിൽ ഈ കയ്പ ചെടി വാടി നിൽക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടു. ജല ദൗർലഭ്യമുള്ള സ്ഥലമായതിനാൽ ഇനി അവിടെ നിർത്തിയാൽ ഈ പാവൽ ചെടി നശിച്ചു പോവുമോ എന്ന് തോന്നി. ഉടനെ നല്ലവണ്ണം മണ്ണ് നനച്ചു, എന്നിട്ട് വഴിയിൽ കിടന്ന ഒരു പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കവർ എടുത്ത് ഒരു കുഞ്ഞു ‘ഗ്രോ ബാഗ്’ പോലെയാക്കി. പാവൽ ചെടി ചുറ്റുമുള്ള മണ്ണോട് കൂടി മൺ കോരികൊണ്ട് എടുത്ത് പ്ലാസ്റ്റിക് കവറിൽ വെച്ചു കെട്ടി. വെള്ളം കിട്ടി കുറച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഇലകൾ നിവർന്നു വന്നത് കാണാം.

വീട്ടിലെത്തിയപ്പോൾ ഒഴിഞ്ഞ ചെടിച്ചട്ടി ഒന്നുമില്ല. എന്നാൽ ഒരു ആര്യ വേപ്പിന്റെ കടക്കൽ നടാം എന്ന് കരുതി. പടർത്താനും സൗകര്യമാവുമല്ലോ. നന്നായി വളരാൻ തുടങ്ങുമെന്ന് പ്രതീഷ്ക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ.

An attempt to save a bitter gourd plant about to wilt away

When I went to water the plants this morning, found this bitter gourd plant withering in the hot sun. As it was a water-scarce place, I thought that if I left it there, this plant would die. Immediately I watered the soil well. Then took a plastic cover lying on the road and made it like a small ‘grow bag’. The bitter gourd plant along with the soil around it was scooped and placed in the plastic cover. A while after getting water, you can see that the leaves have straightened up.

When I got home, there was no empty pot to plant it. Then I thought of planting along with a potted neem plant. It will also be convenient for the climber to spread. Hope it starts growing well.
