തഴച്ചു വളർന്നിട്ടും ഈ മുളക് ചെടി കായ്ക്കുന്നില്ലേ?

ഈ മുളക് ചെടി തഴച്ചു വളരുന്നുണ്ട്, പൂകുന്നുമുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ കായകൾ എവിടെ? കുറച്ചു ദിവസങ്ങളായി ഈ ചെടി പൂക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയിട്ട്. എന്നിട്ടും മുളകുകൾ ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല. വെട്ടിക്കളയാണോ എന്ന് സംശയം. എന്നാൽ ഒന്നുകൂടി നോക്കാം എന്ന് കരുതി ചെടി തിരിച്ചും മറിച്ചും നോക്കിയപ്പോൾ അതാ പച്ച മുളകുകൾ ഇടതൂർന്ന ഇലകൾക്കുളിൽ ഒളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു!

അപ്പോൾ വെട്ടിക്കളയേണ്ടി വന്നില്ല. ഇത്രയും മുളകുകൾ പറിച്ചെടുത്തു. ഇനിയും പൂക്കളുമുണ്ട്. ഏതായാലും വിളവ് ലഭിച്ചതല്ലേ, കട തുറന്ന് കുറച്ച് സൂപ്പർ മീൽ വളം ഇട്ട് കൊടുത്തു. കതിരിന് വളം വെക്കരുതെന്നാണ് ചൊല്ല് എങ്കിലും ഇത് നെൽ ചെടി പോലെ ഒറ്റ തവണ കായ്ക്കുന്ന ചെടിയല്ലലോ.

In spite of good growth, is this chilly plant not fruting?

This chilly plant is growing and flowering. But where are the fruits? This plant has started flowering a few days back. Still I did not see any chillies. I was thinking whether I should prune it. But when I checked in detail before prooning, there were chillies hiding among the dense growth of leaves.

Then there was no need to cut it off. So many chillies were picked. There are still flowers. As the yield was not that good, I put some super meal fertilizer as well. It is said that you should not be giving fertilizer just when a plant is fruiting, but this is not a plant that bears fruit once like the rice plant.
