ഈ ഫ്രൂട്ട് പ്ലാന്റ് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും സുപരിചിതമായിരിക്കും, അല്ലേ?

കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ഒരു നഴ്സറിയിൽ പോയപ്പോൾ ഇത്തരം രണ്ട് ചെടികൾ കണ്ടു. ഒന്നിൽ ഒരു ചെറിയ പഴവുമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. വില ചോദിച്ചപ്പോൾ പറഞ്ഞു അത് സ്വന്തം ആവശ്യത്തിന്നായി ഊട്ടിയിൽ പോയപ്പോൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതാണ്, വില്പനക്കല്ല എന്ന്. ഇന്ന് മറ്റൊരു നഴ്സറിയിൽ പോയപ്പോൾ ഇത്തരം കുറേ ചെടികൾ കണ്ടു. വിലയും കുറവാണ്. അപ്പോൾ ഒരെണ്ണം വാങ്ങിച്ചു. ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ എന്റെ അങ്കിളിന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഈ ചെടി ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായി കേട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. സ്വല്പം കായ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. പക്ഷെ ഞാൻ അങ്കിളിനെ കാണാൻ പോയപ്പോളേക്കും ചെടി നശിച്ചു പോയിരുന്നു. ഈയിടെ ഒരു വാട്സപ്പ് ഗ്രൂപ്പിൽ ഒരു സുഹൃത്ത് വീടിന്റെ മുൻപിൽ പന്തലിൽ ഈ ചെടി പടർത്തിയതായി കണ്ടു. അന്ന് മുതൽ ആലോചിക്കുകയാണ് ചെടി എവിടെ കിട്ടും എന്ന്. ഏതായാലും ഊട്ടി വരെ പോകേണ്ടി വന്നില്ല!
