ഏഴാം തവണ പപ്പായ പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ ഒരു ശിഖരം താഴെ നിർത്തി

കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണ പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്‌തത്‌ വളരെ താഴെ ആയി പോയോ എന്ന സംശയത്തിൽ, ഇത്തവണ പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ കുറച്ച് മേലെ ആകട്ടെ എന്ന് കരുതി. നോക്കുമ്പോൾ കഴിഞ്ഞ തവണ പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലത്ത് നിന്നുള്ള തരക്കേടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ശിഖരം നിലനിൽക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ഇനി ഇപ്പോൾ പ്രൂൺ ചെയ്തിടത്ത് പുതിയ ശിഖരങ്ങൾ വരുമോ അതോ ഇപ്പോൾ കാണുന്ന ശിഖരം വലുതായി മുകളിലേക്ക് വളരുമോ? സാധാരണ വൃക്ഷങ്ങളിൽ ചില ഹോർമോണുകളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനം കാരണം താഴെ ഭാഗത്തെ ശിഖരങ്ങളുടെ വളർച്ച കുറയുകയും, മുകളിലെ ശിഖരങ്ങൾ കൂടുതൽ വളരുകയുമാണ് പതിവ്. ഇത്തവണ പുതിയ ശിഖരങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായി ശക്തി പ്രാപിക്കുന്നതിന് മുൻപ് ഈ ശിഖരം അതിന് മുകളിലേക്ക് വളരുമോ എന്ന് ആകാംഷയോടെ നോക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

When the papaya was pruned for the seventh time, a branch was retained at lower part

As I felt that the last time it was pruned too low, this time it was pruned a little higher. When you look at it, there is a good branch from where it was pruned last time. Will new shoots grow where the tree was pruned or will the retained branch grow upwards? In normal trees, due to the action of some hormones, the growth of the lower branches is reduced and the upper branches grow more. This time, I am eagerly watching to see if this branch will grow above  the pruned positon it before new shoots form and gain strength.
