Novel way of spreading pumpkin plants!

My courtyard is tiny, being a city home and I do not have space to spread pumpkin plants. These plants have come up spontaneously in the vegetable waste processing area from thrown away pumpkin seeds. I wanted to allow them to grow very much. It was then that I thought of a novel idea. I pulled down a grape vine which was there on the compound wall and covered a portion of it with soil as I had done earlier for layering grape vine. Now I have two supports of grape vine, one coming down and one going up. My pumpkin plants can now climb up the grape vines and start spreading along with them. Only problem will be if these pumpkin plants start bearing fruits. Pumpkins being quite heavy, cannot grow down from a compound wall. Let it first reach that stage and then I can think of giving some support with a net or something like that for pumpkins!
