These plants prefer a bit of shade. If you keep them in the bright sun, leaves tend to burn away. Aglaonema plants can be taken care of both indoors and outdoors, with a little bit of care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Though they are flowering plants, flowers are not as beautiful as the leaves. Leaves are variegated with green and silvery colours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Borders of the leaves may have different colours which make them look nice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aglaonema plants are cultivated mainly for the ornamental value of their leaves. They are evergreen perennials, meaning that they persist for a long period if taken care of well. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aglaonema is a popular houseplant as it can survive in low light conditions. Some advise removal of inflorescences for improving survival of the plants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read that the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/NASA_Clean_Air_Study\">NASA Clean Air Study<\/a>\u00a0determined that the species\u00a0<em>modestum<\/em>\u00a0of this plant genus was effective at removing common household air toxins like formaldehyde and benzene.
