ഈ നേന്ത്രവാഴ കുലകൾ രക്ഷപ്പെടുമോ?

ജലസേചന സൗകര്യം ഇല്ലാത്ത സ്ഥലത്ത് വളരുന്ന വാഴകളാണിവ. കുലകൾക്ക് വാട്ടം തുങ്ങിയോ എന്ന് സംശയം. വാഴപ്പൂക്കളുടെ പുറമെയുള്ള ബ്രാക്റ്റുകൾ വാടിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഒരെണ്ണത്തിന് കുലയുടെ കൂടെയുള്ള ഇലയും വാടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. വാഴക്കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ചില വാഴകളുടെ കൂമ്പ് ഉണങ്ങി പോയി. കഴിഞ്ഞ കൊല്ലം ധാരാളം നേന്ത്രവാഴക്കുലകൾ തന്ന വാഴക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളാണിവ.

മുൻപ് ഇത് പോലെ വാടിത്തുടങ്ങിയ മൂന്നോ നാലോ വാഴക്കുലകൾ നിലം പൊത്തിയിരുന്നു. കന്നാസിൽ വെള്ളം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന് നനക്കാരുണ്ടെങ്കിലും കൃത്യമായി സാധിക്കാറില്ല. പരമാവധി പരിശ്രമിക്കുണ്ട് വാഴക്കുല ഉണങ്ങാതെ നിലനിർത്താൻ. വേനൽ ഇങ്ങനെ തീഷ്ണമായി തുടർന്നാൽ വിജയിക്കുമോ എന്നറിയില്ല. എല്ലാ ചെടികളുടെയും അവസ്ഥ ഏറെക്കുറെ ഇതുപോലെ തന്നെയാണ്.

Will these banana bunches survive?

These are the bananas that grow in the land where there is no irrigation facility. Doubt that the bunches are drying off. The outer bracts of the banana flowers have withered. One of the leaves with the bunch has also withered. Some of the plants in the group have dried up. These are banana groups that gave a lot of banana fruits last year.

Earlier three or four plants with withered banana bunches had fallen down. Though we bring water in cans and try to water them, it is not possible to do so on a regular basis. Maximum effort is being made to keep the banana plants from drying out. I don’t know if it will be successful if the summer continues to be hot like this. The condition of all other plants are almost the same.
