മട്ടുപ്പാവിലെ ചുവന്ന ചീര കൃഷി നന്നായി പുരോഗമിക്കുന്നു

ഒരു ചെടിച്ചട്ടിയിൽ ചുവന്ന ചീര വിത്തുകൾ നട്ടുണ്ടായ തൈകൾ മറ്റു ചെടിച്ചട്ടികളിലേക്ക് പറിച്ചു നടുകയായിരുന്നു. വിത്ത് ഓൺലൈൻ ആയി വാങ്ങിച്ചതാണ്. ഈ ചെടിച്ചട്ടിയിലാണ് ചുവന്ന ചീര ചെടികൾ ഏറ്റവും നന്നായി വളരുന്നത്. എന്റെ പതിവനുസരിച്ച് അടുത്ത് തന്നെ ഇലകൾ നുള്ളിയെടുത്ത് ഉപ്പേരിക്കെടുക്കാനാവും. ചെറിയ തോതിലുള്ള കൃഷിയായതിനാൽ ഞാൻ ചീര തണ്ടുകൾ മൊത്തമായി മുറിച്ചെടുക്കാറില്ല.

ഈ ചെടിച്ചട്ടി ലീക്കുള്ളതിനാൽ മുറ്റത്തേക്ക് മാറ്റി, ടെറസ്സിലെ വെള്ള പെയ്‌ന്റിൽ ചെളിവെള്ളം ഒഴുകാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ. കൂടെ കീടബാധയെ പറ്റി ഒരു നിരീക്ഷണവും ആവാം എന്ന് കരുതി. സാധാരണ മുറ്റത് വളർത്തിയിട്ടുള്ള ചുവന്ന ചീര ചെടികളിൽ ഇലകളിൽ ദ്വാരങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുന്ന കീട ബാധ സർവ്വസാധാരണമാണ്. ടെറസ്സിലും മുറ്റത്തും കീടബാധയിൽ വ്യെത്താസം ഉണ്ടോ എന്ന് അടുത്ത് തന്നെ അറിയാം.

ഈ ചെടിച്ചട്ടിയിലും മുൻപ് കൂർക്ക ചെടിയുടെ കൂടെ കണ്ട പോലെ അതിഥികളായി കുഞ്ഞു വിൻക്ക റോസിയാ തൈകൾ വളർന്നു വരുന്നുണ്ട്.

Cultivation of red amaranth in the terrace is progressing well

Seedlings grown from red amaranth seeds in one plant pot were transplanted to other plant pots. The seeds were purchased online. Red amaranth plants are growing best in this pot. As per my practice, the leaves can be pinched and taken to make curry soon. As it is a small scale cultivation, I do not cut the red amaranth stalks as a whole. This pot was moved to the yard because of leak, when muddy water started seeping on to the white paint on the terrace. I thought it might be an observation about pest infestation as well. Pests drilling holes in the leaves are common in common yard-grown red amaranth plants. Soon I will know if there is a difference in pest menace between the terrace and yard. In this pot too, as seen earlier with the chinese potato plant, tiny Vinca rosea seedlings are growing as guests.
