Cardiovascular risks of obesity
Body mass index of 30 kg/m2 or more is associated with:
Premature atherosclerosis
Increased risk of myocardial infarction and heart failure
Decreased survival, mainly due to cardiovascular deaths, especially in those with extremely high body mass index
