Judkins right guide catheter is used for right coronary angioplasty. The tip of a guide catheter does not taper to 5F like a diagnostic catheter. The braided design gives additional strength for passage of multiple guide wires and angioplasty balloon. The lumen of a guide catheter is wider than that of a diagnostic catheter.
