Palpable collaterals on the back in scapular region – Correct answer: a) Suzman’s sign

The collaterals in the scapular region are better felt with the person bending forward. It is noted in coarctation of aorta  due collaterals between aortic branches arising above and below the obstruction [1,2].

Dock’s sign is notching of the inferior border of the ribs (usually bilateral, ribs 3-8), noted in coarctation of aorta. de Musset’s sign is head bobbing noted in severe aortic regurgitation. Corrigan’s sign is also noted in aortic regurgitation (dancing carotids).
