Risk factors for non response with CRT

About one third of patients who receive a cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) do not respond well to the device therapy. Some important risk factors for non response with CRT are:

  1. Ischemic disease
  2. Non-left bundle branch block  QRS morphology,
  3. Apical lead position

Vice verse, the best response may be anticipated in non ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy with left bundle branch block morphology and a wide QRS.
