Selective vs non selective left bundle branch pacing

Left bundle branch pacing is the new method for obtaining physiological pacing to avoid left ventricular dyssynchrony which is common with right ventricular pacing.

In non selective left bundle branch pacing, there is no isoelectric segment before the onset of paced QRS complex. This is because of direct activation of the myocardium in addition to the left bundle branch.

In selective left bundle branch pacing, there is a distinct isoelectric segment before the onset of the paced QRS complex.

Left bundle branch pacing is often associated with an incomplete right bundle branch block pattern.
