That means that heart rate increases on standing, without any fall in blood pressure.<\/p>\n<p>Heart rate increases 30 or more beats per minute on prolonged standing (5-30 minutes). Blood levels of noradrenaline is high in the standing position, indicating activation of the sympathetic nervous system. They may have low blood volume.
