But practically when a pull back pressure tracing is taken from left ventricle to aorta, sometimes the peak pressure in the aorta may be slightly higher than that in the left ventricle. This is due to the peripheral amplification of the pressure wave and is more prominent if a left ventricular tracing is compared with a femoral arterial pressure
