P waves are not seen in 80% of typical AVNRT because it is within the QRS. In 20% it is visible just after the QRS.<\/p>\n<p>AVRT (accessory pathway mediated atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia) is the other form of short RP tachycardia in which the P wave falls at the end of the QRS.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal;\" align=\"left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-31702 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/johnsonfrancis.org\/professional\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/Short-RP-Tachycardia.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1450\" height=\"690\"><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in; font-style: normal; text-align: center;\" align=\"left\"><em>Short RP tachycardia<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Long RP tachycardias<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Atypical (fast-slow tachycardia) AVNRT: Impulse travels down the fast pathway and back through the slow pathway.<\/p>\n<p>Atrial tachycardia<\/p>\n<p>PJRT \u2013 Permanent junctional reentrant tachycardia<\/p>\n<p>Sinus tachycardia is also a differential diagnosis for long RP tachycardia, which has to be differentiated mainly by the P wave morphology and axis which will suggest the activation sequence.<\/p>\n<p>There is an ECG series demonstrating both short RP and long RP tachycardia&nbsp; in <em>Singapore Medical Journal (Free Full Text) <\/em>[1].<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Reference<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Singh D, Teo SG, Omar AR, Poh KK. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC4293938\/\">Electrocardiography series.
