One of the earliest references on mogul signs was from Daves ML in 1970 [1]. This article has been cited in <em>Chest<\/em> [2].<\/p>\n<p>A mogul can form due to left ventricular pseudoaneurysm after mitral valve replacement [3]. Early recognition of this is important as pseudoaneurysms are prone for rupture with catastrophic results.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_41427\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-41427\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-41427\" src=\"https:\/\/johnsonfrancis.org\/professional\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Mogul-signs-on-chest-X-ray.jpg\" alt=\"Mogul signs on chest X-ray\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1089\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-41427\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mogul signs on chest X-ray<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In addition to the mogul signs, the chest X-ray shows prominent upper lobe vessels (antler sign) and double atrial shadow or shadow within shadow of left atrial enlargement. The left atrial shadow is seen as a double density within the right atrial shadow as part of the enlarged left atrium extends posterior to the right atrium.
