These allow the right ventricle to pump blood to both the lungs and the rest of the body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clinical Presentation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Infants often appear healthy at birth while the PDA remains open.
