It replaces the traditional, millimeter-based STEMI\/NSTEMI dichotomy with a framework focused entirely on the underlying pathophysiology\u2014specifically, the presence or absence of an acute coronary occlusion\u2014and utilizes deep-learning artificial intelligence to detect the subtle occlusions that standard criteria miss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Paradigm Shift: STEMI\/NSTEMI to OMI\/NOMI<sup><\/sup><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The traditional STEMI criteria are highly specific but poorly sensitive.
