Raising 80m antenna by further one meter

Earlier one end of 80m inverted V dipole was at 3m and other end at 2m from ground and apex at 6m. I was figuring out ways to raise it a little more as I was getting DX stations, but they were not receiving me! Finally I added a 2m PVC pipe in stock on to garden fence so that after the overlap for anchoring, that end would be 1m higher. At the other end, I thought of telescoping a CPVC pipe into larger diameter PVC pipe which was there for better stability. That worked well, now the pipe does not bend much with the pull of the antenna wire. In effect I have raised both ends of the antenna. Usually both PVC and CPVC pipes bend significantly with the pull of the antenna wire so that it will be something like a bowstring! Eagerly waiting for the next DX propagation to open up so that I can test the on band performance. Though I do not expect wonders, I do expect some improvement in my signals for DX stations.
