What are STEM & STEAM?

Most of you would have heard of STEM education, meaning Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. According to Wikipedia, the turnaround of Indian economy with comfortable foreign exchange reserves is mainly attributed to the skill of STEM graduates, with well-paid salaries locally and abroad for the past two decades. Now what is STEAM? The additional ‘A’ in STEAM corresponds to artistic skills incorporated into STEM education like creative thinking and design. STEAM programs aim to teach students innovation, to think critically and use their STEM education base to create design approaches for real-world problems.
