Wonderful pass of Space Station with E21EJC and plenty of VUs!
There was a pass of International Space Station starting at 7:19 IST (UTC+5.5) today morning. Though it was only of maximum elevation of about 36 degrees, we had plenty of VU stations and E21EJC coming in very well.
As I was expecting E21EJC to come up during a pass of Space Station along the Eastern direction, I pointed my Moxon Yagi in the direction of Bangkok prior to the pass. I had been able to listen to him in a few passes earlier, but could not reach him as my fixed elevation/azimuth antenna was not in the correct direction.
Used Argentinian Amsat satellite pass prediction page to tune Doppler manually in my IC-2730A radio as usual. Here is the animation made using multiple screenshots, showing the satellite pass and corresponding Doppler correction. Direction of satellite is seen in the clock face by the yellow pointer and elevation by the green bar. Change in frequency due to Doppler shift is shown below the clock face.
I am glad to note that E21EJC has also posted my call on his YouTube channel.
