AMSAT-India Demo Station at HamFest India 2025!

HamFest India 2025 is scheduled to start tomorrow at Goa. AMSAT-India has a lot of programs in the pipeline for the HamFest including live demo of satellite communications and special guest VU2TNI, the first Indian Astronaut to have stayed at International Space Station for over two weeks. Demo station has started functioning today, the eve of HamFest and I was happy to hear them through the cross-band repeater of Amateur Radio on International Space Station. It was a Western pass with about 35 degree maximum elevation for me, starting at 5.15 pm IST. VU2EXP who is running the demo station at HamFest venue was heard loud and clear. Many more such live demos are being planned for tomorrow and the day after. As a life member of AMSAT-India, I was quite happy to work the demo station even before the start of HamFest. Looking forward to working the station again tomorrow and the day after during as many satellite passes as possible. Here is the curated pass recording.
