My new HF to UHF SWR and Power Meter came by courier today. Frequency range is 1.6 to 525 MHz. It is a cross needle meter which can display the forward and reflected power as well as the SWR in three different colours. Forward power is shown in black while the reflected power is in blue colour. Standing wave ratio or SWR is shown in red colour.

On/off switch has LED display. Zero level can be adjusted using screws on the front panel. HF and VHF/UHF can be selected using a round push button at the top right corner. Range rotary switch is used to select the RF power range multipliers as x 1, x 10 and x 100. The maximum power which can be measured by this one is 200 Watts. Function rotary switch can select between average and single side band peak envelope power.

Rear side shows the 12 volt DC input socket. Four SO239 type connectors are provided at the back. One set is for 1.6 MHz to 200 MHz while other set is for 125 MHz to 525 MHz. Upper ones are for connection to the radio and lower ones to the antenna. Normally PL259 patch cable will be needed for connection to the radio. Power jack with wires for connection to DC power supply is provided with the instrument. It can be connected to the same power supply which the radio uses.
