What are Multi-turn Loop Antennas?

Large loop antennas use a full wavelength of wire while small magnetic loop antennas use a high voltage tuning capacitor and a small coupling coil. Multi-turn loop antennas use wire or other conducting material and has improved gain and higher radiation resistance compared to single turn loop antennas. Multi-turn loop antennas can be used in radio direction finding, low-frequency communication and for sensing a magnetic field. Multi-loop antennas can be constructed to use on 160m band, which is otherwise difficult for small antennas. Interest in such antennas are like to increase as the Solar Cycle 25 goes down and propagation on lower bands improve, with corresponding decrease in higher bands like 10m.
