Calibration of Easy BITX using FT-710 as Frequency Counter!

Easy BITX not there after uploading Si5351 calibration sketch

Signal from Si5351 in Raduino picked up by FT-710 used as frequency counter

Arduino Serial Monitor

Entered ‘l’ to go 1 kHz down

After entering ‘l’ in Serial Monitor, frequency received in FT-710 went down by 1 kHz!

Further 1 kHz down

Third 1 kHz down

Brought down 100 Hz by typing ‘k’

Overshooting the mark by next step

Spot on 10 MHz with three ‘u’s!

Current difference: 317000 – make a note of that for the next step

Calibration factor is 317000

Entering calibration factor 317000 in Easy BITX dual band sketch and uploading to Raduino

VFO on exact frequency!
