Special Event Callsign HS72KING Quite Strong on 18.139 MHz

I was lucky to hear Special Event Callsign HS72KING Quite Strong on 18.139 MHz at 1449z today. The callsign is in commemoration of King of Thailand’s 72nd birthday. His Majesty King has a personal callsign HS10A, and has long been a supporter of amateur radio activities in Thailand. I was very happy to hear the special event callsign today on air. I could not call back because my antennas either the 40/10m combination inverted V dipole or 20-10m End Fed Half Wave Antenna would tune on 17m with the built-in antenna tuner of my radio. If I had an external antenna tuner with higher tuning range, I could have worked the special event station as the signals were quite strong here. Incidentally, this is the first time I am hearing a station on 17m WARC band, that too well above the noise level!
