Hence Pi 4 may be available at lower cost options as it the case of any hardware when a newer version has been launched. Raspberry Pi 4 has a 40-pin GPIO header like Raspberry Pi 3. Model B in Raspberry Pi indicates the presence of an onboard Ethernet (LAN &#8211; Local Area Network) port. <a href=\"https:\/\/johnsonfrancis.org\/techworld\/what-are-gpio-pins-in-arduino-nano\/\">GPIO<\/a> stands for\u00a0General Purpose Input\/Output, meaning that these digital pins can be configured either as input or output or both.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">BCM2711 is the SoC or System on a Chip in  Raspberry Pi 4, from Broadcom. It has a quad-core ARM Cortex A72 processor, 64-bit, 1.5 GHz. Raspberry Pi 4 models with 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB LPDDR4-2400 SDRAM are available. LPDDR-4 stands for low-power, double-data-rate 4th generation. 2400 indicates a data transfer rate of 2400 Megatransfers per second (MT\/s). SDRAM stands for synchronous dynamic random-access memory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Raspberry Pi 4 has two micro <a href=\"https:\/\/johnsonfrancis.org\/techworld\/what-is-the-difference-between-dvi-and-hdmi\/\">HDMI<\/a> (High Definition Multimedia Interface) ports, two USB 2.0 ports and two USB 3.0 ports. It has a 3.5mm AV jack, which is missing on the Raspberry Pi 5! Ethernet port is RJ45 and has Gigabit (1Gb\/s) capability. Dual-band (2.4\/5GHz) onboard Wi-Fi is 120Mb\/s IEEE 802.11ac standard. Bluetooth 5, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and microSD card slots are there in Raspberry Pi 4. Power can be supplied through a USB-C 5V\/3A (15W) power supply. Raspberry Pi 5 requires a 27W power supply. In addition, Raspberry Pi 4 has CSI (Camera Serial Interface) and DSI (Display Serial Interface) ports.
