For me it is camera tripod and possibly a tripod for mounting antennas, in future for portable LEO satellite operations. I will have to make a good light weight antenna for that as this is meant to hold only a mobile phone and not a heavy multi-element VHF\/UHF cross Yagi antenna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We bought this from Amazon: <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/42Kchio\">https:\/\/amzn.to\/42Kchio<\/a> Please note that if you buy from this link, Amazon will pay me a tiny bit, at no extra cost to the buyer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is the fully extended view of the tripod, which should be 1.6m long. It can be extended by pulling out the telescopic segments and send back to the original position by carefully pushing back. The tripod (or rather quadrupod), can be folded back like an umbrella to make it a selfie stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bluetooth remote control which can be linked to the mobile phone can be taken out by sliding it from the handle and replaced as before. That should be convenient if you want to take a group photo. No more running back to your seat after setting camera timer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Close up view of the remote control. The battery capacity is 55 mAh<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a USB-C socket on the side of the remote control, which can be used to recharge the built-in battery using 5V USB-C power outlet. Charging current is 50 mA and full charge time is 30 to 60 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is how the quadrupod is folded back like an umbrella, by pulling it backwards on to the telescopic segment and the handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The handle and the mobile phone holder can be folded back so that it becomes very compact and goes into a small bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Handle can be used to conveniently rotate the camera to the required position to get a good view. Angle of mounting of the camera can also be adjusted. It will be better to steady the tripod with one hand and adjust the position with the other hand. I am doing it with the same hand because my other hand is holding the camera now!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Illustrated instruction leaflet supplied shows us how to mount it and use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Detailed user manual provides instruction on how to connect Bluetooth for remote operation up to a distance of 10m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Though it is named as a &#8216;Selfie Stick&#8217;, I am not going to use it to take selfies!
