Multiple solar panels are thus connected to a single inverter, which is a common and cost-effective solution for solar panels with little or no shading so that they have similar output. Sometimes several string inverters may be used in larger systems and alternating current output connected in parallel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An important limitation is that if one of the solar panels in the string is affected by shading or dirt, it can degrade the performance of the entire string. String inverters are better suited for setups with minimal shading and consistent roof orientation to sunlight. If we use Micro Inverters beside each solar panel and then combine the outputs, failure of one inverter or solar panel will not totally cut off the output. In case of a string inverter, single point failure can cause total loss of output.
