Originally planned for an earlier start, the team faced logistical delays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Activation Details<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Callsign:<\/strong> AU7RS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Start Time:<\/strong> Operations are expected to commence around <strong>12:00 UTC<\/strong> tomorrow (February 10).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Initial Setup:<\/strong> They plan to have <strong>two stations<\/strong> on the air immediately, gradually increasing the number as the rest of the gear is deployed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Modes:<\/strong> There is a heavy emphasis on &#8220;human modes&#8221;\u2014<strong>CW and SSB<\/strong>\u2014though they will also have a dedicated station for <strong>FT8<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bands:<\/strong> 160m to 10m, plus <strong>QO-100<\/strong> satellite activity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Team:<\/strong> Led by VU2RS, with VU24DX, VU3DXA, VU3GDS\/VU25EE), and VU29AR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tips for Working Them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Low Band Focus:<\/strong> Heard that they will prioritize the <strong>40m, 80m, and 160m<\/strong> bands to help operators (especially those in North America) fill these difficult slots. I am also looking forward to working them on lower bands.
