2026 HAM RADIO exhibition in Friedrichshafen

The 2026 HAM RADIO exhibition in Friedrichshafen, Europe’s largest amateur radio event, is scheduled for June 26–28, 2026, at Messe Friedrichshafen in Germany. This year brings a brand-new crossover that is highly relevant if you are active in satellite operations. The motto is “Discover the Sky: Amateur Radio meets Astronomy,” and the event will run parallel to ASTRO, a new trade fair dedicated to astronomy, astrophotography, and observation technology. A combined ticket will grant access to both.

Here is what you can expect at the 2026 event:

  • The Flea Market: Known as the largest radio flea market in Europe, it spans multiple halls. It is an excellent place to hunt down specialized components—like high-wattage MOSFETs, specific toroids, or heavy-duty aluminum heat sinks—for homebrew builds like linear amplifiers and SDR setups.
  • Commercial Exhibitors: Over 380 exhibitors from around the world will showcase the latest RF technology, antennas, and transceiver kits.
  • Satellite & Space Comms: With the new ASTRO exhibition running alongside it, there is expected to be an expanded focus on LEO setups, specialized antennas, and space-related amateur radio activities.
  • Lectures & Workshops: Hosted by the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC), the technical sessions often dive deep into filter design, troubleshooting complex hardware issues, and integrating single-board computers into radio chains.
