Easy BITX has started receiving amateur radio stations, though far from perfect!

Initially when I assembled Easy BITX there was no audio at all. After fixing four 1N4148 diodes in the collector supply line of four RX transistors, it started receiving some strong QRM signals. The frequency on display was about 2 kHz higher. My amateur radio friends suggested tuning the BFO listening to a familiar signal. Today I tuned to VU2MIE and adjusted the BFO settings and I started receiving him in such a way that I can follow the conversation somewhat. Later I called him on phone and asked him to give a test transmission. The advantage for me was that he was at high altitude and just about 63 km from here as per QRZ.COM. Here is the final result, though far from perfect. The frequency difference was much lesser as you can see on the display while he was transmitting at 7055 kHz. Thanks a lot to VU2MIE for the test transmission and to all my friends who have given suggestions online and on air. Welcoming suggestions for further improvement in audio quality and perfection RX before moving on to the TX section!

Earlier I had received VU2ABU on the CW net. That was prior to adjustment of the BFO.
