Good Pass of International Space Station, But Very Few Takers!

Today afternoon, there was a good pass of International Space Station of about 53 degree maximum elevation, on the Eastern side. So I expected to hear 4S7NDR and some other DX stations from the Eastern side as well as plenty of VU stations being a Sunday afternoon pass. Contrary to my expectation, there were only two other stations and I could easily work both of them as it was a good pass for me. I gave a couple of CQ calls after that and could hear my voice well on the downlink. The other two stations continued calling almost till the end of the pass, with no other station turning up. Anyway I am happy that I could work both stations who were operating with very simple setup. One of them was also kind enough to send me the recording of the QSO for confirmation. Recordings from other stations help us to know how well you are heard there! That will help us improve our operating procedure and setup.

Here is the pass direction as seen on N2YO.COM.

Audio recording of the pass after removing much of the hissing noise of the open squelch is here.
