Heard VU2KOC Loud and Clear on AO-91!
Today morning, during pre-Belgaum net round table, VU2KOC told me that he was regular on AO-91 and AO-92 amateur radio satellites earlier. When I told him that today morning there is an Eastern pass initially and later a Western pass, he told me that Eastern passes often have low battery due to higher use from operators in that region. Just as he mentioned, I could hardly hear one episode of partial closure of open squelch while attempting to receive the Eastern pass around 8.30 am IST (UTC+5.30). To my pleasant surprise, I could hear VU2KOC loud and clear during the pass at around 10 am IST, which was a Western pass! As the Western pass was coming from Indian Ocean region without any amateur radio satellite operators, the battery was probably quite strong after charging well in sunlight! I could also hear some other voices partially later in the pass, though I could not make out the callsign.
Here is the audio clip of AO-91 pass around 10 am, after removing most of the hissing noise of the open squelch in Audacity software.
