Homebrewing a ‘Twisted Flex’ Experimental Hybrid Feedline!

Can you use homebrew ‘Twisted Flex’ as feed line? What about one piece of refurbished RG213 and half the length of homebrew twisted flex (10+5m)? Here is my ‘Hybrid’ feedline due to my laziness to order one more RG213!

RG213 feedline of my 40m antenna was spoiled by rainwater seepage. Spliced off about 4m of the cable and added about 5m of homebrewed twisted flex line using my old 20m antenna wire. Ideally a 1:2 impedance transformer is needed for inverted V antenna to twisted flex feedpoint as the latter has a theoretical impedance of around 100 ohms. Another 2:1 balun would be desirable at twisted flex to RG213 junction. None these were available with me and I used just a common mode choke at the radio end to prevent RF getting into the shack or so I presume. So this is just an experimental makeshift hybrid feedline to get on 40m for local ragchew.
