My first contact in RSGB IOTA Contest: 26-27 July 2025

IOTA stands for Islands on The Air. Yesterday I was tuning around 20m band, which was generally dull for the past few days. Suddenly I came across a good SSB signal and listened. Mentioned my callsign and got a call back. That was from DX1PRO. Here is the audio track.

That was my first contact in the RSGB IOTA Contest: 26-27 July 2025. OC-042 refers to Luzon Island in the Philippines, which is IOTA entity number 42 in Oceania. It is the largest and most populous island in the country, which also has Manila, the capital city.
