Working 4S7NDR (Sri Lanka) Again on Space Station!

Yesterday I had posted that I could hear S21CRO from Bangladesh through Amateur Radio on International Space Station. Few days back I had posted about my first two way contact with 4S7NDR through the Space Station. Today morning there was another pass of Space Station with about 34 degree maximum elevation in this region and I was hoping to establish two way contact with S21CRO. But I had my doubts as well because though the Space Station would go right over Bangladesh, it would be at a low elevation by then for my limited setup to pickup calls from S21CRO. Moreover as it was at 9.45 am IST, most likely S21CRO would be at work.

But another surprise DX contact awaited me on that pass which as you can see on N2YO.COM was passing over Sri Lanka as well and that was also the time of closest approach in that pass for me. I could hear 4S7NDR loud and clear and so did he! Here is the audio recording of the pass:

You would have heard my contacts with 4S7NDR and VU2MZT. In addition there was VU2YE, with whom I could not establish two contacts. The beacon of ARISS in CW mentioning NA1SS was also heard loud and clear. The more number of satellite passes you attempt, the more likely are you to get DX stations, even with a suboptimal setup for LEO Satellite operations like what I use. I am posting these little success stories to motivate other hams in my region to come up on LEO Satellites even if they have only suboptimal setups. Let us put VU land on the map of LEO satellite communications in a prominent way!
