Inferior vena cava: Inferior vena cava is a large blood vessel which drains deoxygenated blood from the lower part of the body including abdomen (tummy) and the lower limbs. It empties blood into the right atrium (upper thin chamber of the heart). Oxygen content of the blood in inferior vena cava is higher than that of the superior vena cava.
