Radial artery: Radial artery is the blood vessel carrying oxygenated blood in the forearm. It extends from just below the elbow to the wrist near the thumb. It is used for sampling blood for arterial blood gas analysis and for coronary angiography. Left radial artery is also used as a conduit for coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG or bypass surgery).
