Though pericardial calcification can be made out by computed tomography (CT), CT is not used for screening pericardial disease as it is rare. Pericardial calcification is seen constrictive pericarditis. Similarly, calcification of aortic valve is associated with cardiac conduction system disease. Still CT is not used as a screening test as ECG is a much cheaper and easily available test for assessment of cardiac conduction system disease.
