Univentricular Heart

Univentricular Heart

Univentricular heart has one dominant ventricle and a rudimentary ventricle, usually just an outflow chamber. Dominant ventricle has double inlet. This can be double inlet left ventricle or double inlet right ventricle, depending on the morphology of the dominant ventricle. Because of complete mixing of blood in the single ventricle, the physiology is that of an admixture lesion.
