Definition of abnormal BP fall during orthostatic challenge with active standing as per 2018 European Society of Cardiology Guidelines for evaluation of syncope:
Correct answer:  a) Progressive and sustained fall in systolic BP of 20 mm Hg or more, fall in diastolic BP of 10 mm Hg or more OR a fall in systolic BP to less than 90 mm Hg
In 2018 guideline, they have added the new value of fall in systolic BP to less than 90 mm Hg mentioning that this criteria is useful in those with systolic BP less than 110 mm Hg. They also considered that isolated fall in diastolic BP is very rare and that criteria from the 2011 consensus has a limited role.
