Sir, Why fibrosis involve right side more? Even in drug or serotonin induced also?
I am not sure why it is so in EMF. But in case of serotonin, the right heart is involved more because it gets inactivated in the lung and does not reach the left heart in appreciable amounts. It is known that serotonin is inactivated in liver as well and right heart involvement occurs only if there are hepatic mets so that serotonin reaches right heart. Left heart involvement occurs when there are lung mets. Carcinoid syndrome occurs only in metastatic carcinoid. By analogy same reason may be valid in EMF, though we do not know the exact causative agent.
Thank you sir
