Guidewire Torquer

Guidewire torquer is used to maneuver the guidewire tip so as to enter the required vessel during angioplasty. It is useful in navigating the guide wire across the lesion and into side branches. Torquer can also be used while attempting to cross the struts of a stent which has been placed across the opening of a branch in order to balloon dilate the struts to improve the side branch flow. Guidewire torquer is passed over the guidewire and the torquer is tightened to get a good grip on the guide wire.
